IMPORTANT NOTICEThe Fire Services Examinations Board and its responsibilities for the previous Statutory Examinations for Promotion to the ranks of Leading Firefighter, Sub-Officer and Station Officer ceased on the 31st July 2006. All assessment of candidates is now undertaken as part of the IPDS process. Historical records and previous candidates results are now held by the Fire Service College and Fire Service Training School (Gullane) (Scottish candidates) - see details in attached letter. The FSEB's web site will remain active until June 2007. What do we do?The Fire Services Examinations Board (FSEB) is established to administer the Statutory Promotion Examinations for personnel within the Fire Service. The examinations cover the first three ranks within the fire service, i.e. Leading Firefighter; Sub Officer and Station Officer, and are open to whole-time employees of fire authorities established under the Fire Services Act 1947, in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland who are engaged or may be required to engage in firefighting. In addition, candidates are accepted from the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey. Purpose of this web siteTo provide candidates with an information resource to aid their studies and the opportunity to share information with each other through the Candidate Bulletin Board. The site also provides an information service to Fire Brigade staff dealing with the administration of these examinations. We hope that you find this web site useful.
